Red Pearl is truly a gem in Homewood. From the unique entrance off the main street to the eclectic Asian market nearby, to the charming decor inside, it creates a lovely dining experience. I appreciate the spacious seating, perfect for families and larger groups. The staff is friendly, diverse, and knowledgeable about the menu. Each meal is served with a generous bowl of steaming rice, and everything is always hot and fresh. My favorites from the menu include: **Appetizers:** Pork Buns, all the soups, and Spring Rolls—so good that one is never enough! **Entrees:** Mongolian Beef, General Tso’s Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Teriyaki Shrimp, Chicken Fried Rice, and Vegetable Lo Mein. They also offer an excellent bottle of Red Pinot at a great price! My only disappointment was that there weren't enough wonton chips to accompany the soup. I also appreciate that they don’t overcrowd the table with fortune cookies; they only provide the exact number you need, which is a nice touch. This restaurant truly delivers, and I encourage everyone to check it out for themselves!

Don’t hesitate, just go— you won’t be disappointed! Everything is always delicious. The pork in black bean sauce is a safe choice. If you prefer something less saucy, the double diced chicken is incredible (think southern-style hot chicken, but with a twist)! You really can’t go wrong here. And be sure to try a Taro bubble tea!

Overall, it was a pretty good experience. I thought the Mongolian beef was tasty, although I’ve had larger portions at other Chinese restaurants. This dish had a bit more vegetables than beef, and they didn't serve quite enough rice. On the bright side, the bubble tea was a fantastic value at $4 and had a nice level of sweetness—much better than most places that tend to make it overly sweet.

Very good food! Well prepared and very tasty! I went to another review and was not disappointed. I really like the fried rice, although I also had the fried, while fish with hot and spicy sauce and it was excellent! The restaurant and take-out were really busy and for good reason - the food is great! The interior is decent, although it needs to be updated and updated, although I still go back. The staff was helpful and very nice! Very good Chinese food in Birmingham!
