Marty's Pm - Birmingham

I went to get takeout because it said they offered it, but the staff wouldn’t let me in unless I paid a cover fee and showed my ID. I was just trying to grab some food and leave. I was willing to spend over $30, which is the same as the cover fee for six people. It doesn’t make much sense for the business. If they don’t want to let people in without paying the cover, they should at least take orders outside. There were only five elderly patrons inside the bar—why turn away customers like that?

Terrible experience! I will definitely not return! Upon entering and leaving, I felt harassed by the male security or police officer sitting outside. Then, I had to wait for the bartender to stop singing before I could place my order. I've never encountered such treatment anywhere else, and I am completely disappointed. It's especially troubling that those who are meant to protect us were doing the exact opposite. I did not feel safe at all. This is not a suitable environment for women.

My beautiful wife and I had a fantastic time at the restaurant. We enjoyed a lovely evening together, which only got better when we got home. There was a talented lady performing there who could really sing!

Look here, so my men and I tried to go to a bar near the Indigo. Unfortunately, the kitchen had closed so that we from the doorman that Marty's was open until 4:00. So we took the short walk and as skeptical as I was when I first entered, this place was the highlight of my night. I had not expected good drinks, good food, good service and karaoke. I'm definitely back.

Marty is an incredible hidden gem! They offer late-night food and adult beverages until 6:00 AM—who would have thought? With a membership, you really feel special, and it’s only five dollars! We ordered the Jenseits Burger Patty Melt and the homemade potato soup. Oh my goodness, the soup was fantastic—it was like a grilled cheese sandwich and potatoes combined in a warm bowl, topped with toasted Texas toast! So delicious! The burger was juicy and skillfully grilled with perfectly melted cheese; the crispy edges were satisfying to hear! I apologize for not taking pictures of the patty melt before we devoured it—the soup barely lasted, too! Shantay, our server, was an absolute delight!
