Cannelle Patisserie - Birmingham

I've been looking for REAL pain au chocolat aux amandes in the Detroit area for years. This place goes with flying colors. It is the only bakery that I found anywhere near authentic French pastries, like those I got during my life in France. I highly recommend it!

I get my croissants on the RO Farmer market. It's my weekend pleasure for the last few years. But I have a question: What kind of Sadist IS Matt Knio?? Olive Tapenade Croissant. Turkey, onion Swiss croissant. Onion Croissant. I was accused of this... and then abandoned. at least on the RO market) Why do you do that???!!! It's just mean. [Do not try to get rid of my apricot croissant, or I must picket!!!]

I first visited West Bloomfield yesterday. A real gem of Birmingham. The service was really excellent by Allison. The croissants were really delicious and fresh. The special items I ordered were heated and were buttery and delicious. I tried bacon and cheese croissants and coffee and took some things home. I'm going back regularly. Wonderful
