Phatty's Seafood Steakhouse - Billings

We had a great lunch today! We were seated immediately after arriving at 1:30. Our server, Meadow, stopped by right away and told us about some beers. She even offered some tastes to help us decide. They have a wide variety but not an exhaustive list. After receiving our drinks, we ordered from a menu that had a wide variety but was just one page long. This is a good balance so that the kitchen can focus on their best dishes and keep fresh ingredients in stock. My wife's shrimp tacos were excellent! The shrimp were crisp on the outside and juicy inside. She got 2 generous tacos. She particularly liked the sauce which featured dill and had just the right level of spice for her (rather mild to my taste. The fried potatoes that came as a side were about halfway between fries and wedges and hit the spot. Also came with a side of remoulade for the tacos and the potatoes. My shrimp and grits was delicious, too. The creamy grits provided good balance to the spicy sauce that flavored the shrimp and boudin. The side salad was good with the flavored croutons as the standout. Meadoe did a fine job attending to our needs without hovering. Live music was entertaining but a little too loud even though we sat as far away as possible. However, credit to Phatty's for daring to be different (just dial it back a little, please. Altogether a great experience and we will be back soon.

This place was very good, and they can either turn down the heat (for me) or add maximum heat (for the hubby). The flavor of our food was so enjoyable. I will be sure to get photos next time. Oh! And the wait staff are awesome and took care of us with urgency!! Great place!I had the spicy chicken sandwich with green beans as my side, and my hubby had crawfish, fried alligator.

What an unexpected treat. Passing through Billings, I was not thinking 'Cajun sounds good '. But stumbled into this based on the reviews and no regrets. Wonderful flavor, spiced to your preferences. Front end and back end staff are both a treat, with lots of personality and humor. Well worth it.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu with options beyond the basics.

Small slice of cajun love right here in Billings!The food is stupendous. We have tried a few dishes so far, and everything is top notch! I am thrilled to go again soon try something else!!They have a small patio seating area and a small indoor seating section this place is nice, but it isn't large!When it's busy, it's really busy! You can make reservations they recommended it for Sunday brunch. Hands down the best dining experience we’ve had. The only thing better than the food (drool worthy) was the staff! Incredible service, and such a fun and friendly atmosphere. Make you feel like part of the family and like you’ve known them forever! As a southern woman, I felt right at home and will be coming back!
