Recently visited this charming pub again in the peak district. It is what we would class as a proper pub great selection of well kept real ales, great staff particularly Jan) and good pub food, not overpriced either considering it is in the heart of the peak district, where others have over priced their menu for the tourists. Its got charm too, and clearly well supported by local trade too. These pubs need support!! Particularly after being kicked repeatedly by the authorities during the last 3 years of what must have been hospitality hell. Well done Waterloo. We shall be back next time we visit and thanks for a lovely dinner. Jo and Nick x Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Staying local so went to Waterloo In for Sunday Roast. We are not fussy eaters but the roast was the worst we'd had. 2 small roast potatoes, tiny bit of mash, lots of peas with a slithering of white cabbage, 2 frozen yorkshires impossible to cut and beef, tough and couldn't cut with the knife supplied. So disappointed. Left most of it. Website advertised £10.95 but charged £12.95. I hope their weekday meals are better but for a Sunday roast I felt robbed.
