I dislike writing a bad review, however be forewarned. We have ordered here before, and the quality is declining with each visit. This is my last visit. The sauce was watered down, the General Tsos chicken was soggy, not well cooked. Lack of spice in everything we ordered. The crab Rangoon was way too sweet, more like a dessert. VERY DISAPPOINTING. Personal opinion (best Chinese fast food in the area) you can go in and sit, but don't, just order ahead pick your food up and go home and eat. The staff isn't overly friendly, but you go for the food and it's ready in less than 10mins. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2

I have tried Chinese food at multiple restaurants in Elmira and a few in Corning, and Shanghai Express is by far the best. You can't find better food of this type anywhere else. Trust me, it's a must-try. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $1-10.
