Great historical sightseeing adventure. Several buildings to explore. There is a small cafe upstairs in the Roadhouse. A barn, a sod-roofed cabin, some outbuildings, and a lovely walk by the river. When we were there, they had a pig and some chickens on the property (all in pens). Just a great way to see how people survived in Alaska at the turn of the century.
Beautiful historic site. We learned a lot about the regions history during our visit. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth the stop if you’re in the area.
Full of very interesting stuff in this well-preserved roadhouse and strongly recommend to pay a visit on the way to Fairbanks.
Stopped here on our way to Tok. Used the facilities and had some lunch at a picnic table. Then took a walk around and read all the information boards about the different buildings and history.
