This is one eatery which I along with my family would have visited multiple times. And I am sure that there are many more such repeat customers. Located at the corner of Ghodbunder Road and the National Highway, Kansar Kathiyawadi or Kathiyawadi as it is known has always been up there with great food quality, courteous staff and nice ambience. That 10 out of 10 times we had a waiting time speaks about the customer patronage and it's not as if there are no other restaurant options available. The Gujarati community makes up the most of the patrons though you may occasionally see from other communities as well. . Like most other Thali Restaurants, all food items served are unlimited without any restrictions. though obviously wastage should be avoided . The meal usually begins with starters which include the usual mini idli, mini samosa, mini dhokla among others along with wet chatni. The main course included about 6 to 7 small bowls of 'Bhaji' and curry items one of which would be paneer based served with chapati and mini bajra roti followed by Rice though I am not a rice eater . Seasonal items like Undhiyu is also on the menu. Also on the menu is Chaas or butter milk and a sweet delicacy Gulab Jamun at times to some other sweet dish . The serving staff keep moving around along with a supervisor to ensure that all of their clients go back satisfied. The communication between then happens in sign language given the number of items and to avoid any delays. The rate per Thali is about Rs. 450 but one needs to have a good appetite to savor the food. Overall a great experience and a 5 out of 5.

A regular favourite for gujarati thali lovers. Best value for money considering the food variety and corresponding cost of the thalis. Situated very strategically on the Mumbai-Gujarat highway.

Kansar is a kathiyawadi restarant. U get khatiyawadi thali and gujrati thali. Price of thali is very reasonable . Thali they serve has 4 vegtables 2 desserts rice, dal salad roti , puri . Vegetables were delicious and deserts were awesom i liked jalebi and basundi . Nice staff. Good place to visit with family for proper gujrati thali.
