Food was bland and greasy. Service, well it took an hour to get biscuits and gravy and a plate of eggs, bacon and pancakes... We Sat without drinks and waited almost 15 minutes for the waitress to get out check. It wasn't busy at all and they had several bussers... (Bussers were very kind)... Waitress enjoyed her phone more than her job....
One star establishment. I’ve given this place many chances and every visit I am left with a terrible taste in my mouth. For the amount of breakfast spots in the ville… this place isn’t worth visiting. The entire place is filthy, lots of disorganization and inability to communicate with patrons about anything. Food takes an hour so get ready to wait (and don’t worry that table that sat down after you will get theirs first). At least you’ll know exactly how long you’ll be waiting because a million clocks adorn their walls. Some better suggestions are Afternoon, 43rd Street Deli, Flying Biscuit, Eastend Eatery, Peach Valley… I mean really endless better options.
I got the corn beef hash breakfast with grits. Water down apple juice 4 dollars not good no refills. Grits taste instant with no flavor. Eggs nothing but egg. Vary bland... 21.00 tab seems over priced for breakfast.
I don't even know how many years I've been dining at Clock Restaurant, but I do know I love dining there regularly! While the food is good, it is the service there that is the best part. The people are fantastic, and my understanding from the staff there is that they are so fantastic, in part, because they're treated very well by the owners. Definitely recommend you come here regularly for good coffee, great service, and an awesome breakfast solo or with friends/family.
