It was cold, raining and we were visiting Beziers town for the first time although we had been to the Polygone Centre previously. We were cold, damp and hungry. We were welcomed to come and sit down although busy behind the desk where orders are taken. The restaurant was clean, attractive and fairly full. Our order was taken and in no time it appeared. My husband had a large piece of quiche containing all sorts of vegetables and fruit too. I had a sort of open sandwich on a tart type base with Gorgonzola cheese, pears and nuts. The salad was so fresh and delicious. Really generaus portions. The bread was good and very fresh. For dessert my husband had orange cake with real whipped cream on the side moist, and simply delicious. I had coffee which was hot and excellent. Very reasonably priced. I would say it was one of the best casual lunches we had in four months since being in this area of France. Service was excellent too. Very friendly and accommodating. We will be back before we leave at the beginning of January.
On the corner of Rue de September and Alvenue Paul Riquet, a good place to stop and people watch. There is seating inside and in good weather a larger outside area. Staff friendly and even though I only had coffee and croissant I was not rushed.
I 'popped ' into this 'cafe ' for a quick coffee with my daughters before our flight home and we were disappointed that we had not found this little gem at the start of our trip. We ended up having coffee followed by another and then lunch. Although the menu is limited the dishes were exceptional, very well presented and value for money. The gentleman who served us made us feel very special. Even the tea is presented fairly uniquely. You can sit out in the sunshine or eat inside if needed. A great place to watch the world go by!
Excellent food I really enjoyed I recommend this corner of beziers
Lunch at the end of the afternoon on a very pleasant place of Béziers. The homemade iced tea is generous and the ice creams and sorbets of the house Antolin are a pleasure!
