La Petite Tonnelle - Beynac-et-Cazenac

So cold in the restaurant and overpriced for average food, untrained staff. It was necessary to warm up in the car.

Had a fabulous meal at a reasonable price. Staff really friendly and welcoming. Very recommended if you stay in Beynac.

Our family of 4 from the USA has made reservations in this restaurant for dinner. The staff left us unwilling from the start because of our language barrier. The fish teas and the cold egg soup were the worst dishes we had in a 20-day visit to this beautiful country. Our main dishes we feel were overpriced for quality. The presentation was attractive, but quality and taste were not impressive. The cheese plate was discarded and we stayed alone for the rest of the evening. Dessert was part of our purchase, but never offered. We tried to get some of the waiting staff to our table but were avoided. We bought a bottle of wine with our dinner and loved another, but nobody checked our table. We also ran out of water. After almost 3 hours my husband went to the desk to pay, he explained it was over an hour and we had not been checked. No excuses were made by the staff.

The restaurant is in a great location with cool terrace area which was simply perfect on a hot summers evening. Great food and service, would highly recommend the fish soup or prawn risotto for starters, we then followed with the confit duck and belly pork...which were equally delicious, no room for dessert so can’t comment but could imagine they’d be as good. Prices were good considering the quality of the food, would highly recommend if in Beynac

A pleasant shady terrace on a side street. Friendly and efficient staff. The food was excellent and the menu “Liberte” offered some refreshing variety from all the normal tourist restaurants. We had the prawn risotto as a starter and the pork belly and sweet breads...as a main all were delicious and very well cooked. I highly recommend and would definitely return.
