La Stalla - Bexley

What a real oasis of excellent food. Re visited this lovely little Italian restaurant after a number of years with my brother and wife. Loved it. Music was a real trip down memory lane but food was as good as ever. Try the stroganoff, was one of the best I have had. Mario is a genius in the kitchen. I know it's off the usual high street but worth going. Prices were surprisingly good given the quality of food and drink. I have spent double and got nowhere near the same quality of food and service. Will be back again soon.

Every month, a group of friends gather together to catch up. This time, we decided to have dinner at this restaurant. The service was incredibly attentive, personalized, and friendly. The menu had a wide selection, and the food we ordered was outstanding. We wished there were a few more potatoes, but even the ones we had were excellent. The staff was willing to accommodate any request and we highly recommend this place to anyone.

We haven't been in here for a long time but I always remembered it being excellent. Last Saturday four of us booked in for 8pm. Nothings changed, it doesn't look special from outside and is a bit dated inside. We were shown to a decent round table and there was a good atmosphere. The food and service were spot on. We ordered mainly fish, a mixture of huge king prawns, dover soles and skate, all of it was fantastic. It's family run and we were well looked after. Well deserved 5 stars. We'll be back soon no doubt.

What a relief! Mario was a little late reopening after the terrible lockdown, but it was well worth the wait. We had been eagerly anticipating the reopening as we passed by the closed door, disappointed to see the sign still up after the lockdown had ended. However, Sandra called us a couple of weeks ago to notify us that they were back in business, so we promptly booked a table. It was a lovely evening, with two delicious meals expertly prepared by Mario and served with charm by Sandra. Thankfully, Mario had not lost his touch during the forced closure! Hurry back to La Stalla and indulge in all the money you saved while they were closed. It's a no-brainer!
