Shake Shack First National Building Downtown Detroit

Ordered off the app. When I got there, the burgers and fries were thrown into the bag without boxes, just the burger sleeves and fry tray. Completely open and unsanitary in my opinion. The personnel also forgot to include my two custard orders. However, when I asked for each issue to be addressed, the staff responded quickly. The manager on site told me that food only will go into the bag with a box if it is for a delivery not an app order. I am not sure when that ruletook effect; I have ordered from other locations of Shake Shack and always had boxes for the food. Not the best, but I guess they are trying.

The staff was fine. The wait for our food was the length they stated. The fries are not worth the calories, as they are typical frozen crinkle fries and had exactly no flavor, so thankful for ketchup. The avocado bacon burger was tasty and fresh, as was the smoke burger, but both seemed a bit skimpy in size. We decided to skip the shakes and come home for dessert because we were underwhelmed. I don?t understand the hype. Seems unlikely to last very long.

Food was delicious. I have visited multiple shacks shakes and this is no different in my opinion. The quality is still there. Being a new location, im sure there are improvements that they can do. The number 1 thing they need to focus on improving is customer service. The guy taking the order needs to do a better job screaming out the orders and communicating to the customer. While I was there, I noticed 3 people upset that they were being ignored. I hope they can manage toaddress these issues, and if they do, then this would be a good location spot. Given them 4 stars since I personally got my food on time and it was delicious.
