Papa Angelo's Pizzeria - Bethany

This place is fantastic! Coming from Long Island, it feels like you've entered a different part of the country—not Bethany, Oklahoma. The decor and the aroma really give it that authentic New York vibe. The pizza flavors are excellent. We've been regulars here for years, but I noticed a change on this visit: they switched from sliced sausage, similar to pepperoni, to sausage crumbles. While it still tasted good, I personally prefer the old-style sausage. You just can't find anything like that around here!

The pizza was okay, but given the price, I expected it to be better. The noise from the pizza press machines was quite loud and disrupted the atmosphere. I’m not saying we won’t return, because we likely will, but it wasn’t what I had anticipated.

The crust is fantastic, with a fresh, bready flavor. The sauce is delicious, with a nice, fresh tomato taste, although the pizza is a bit greasy. The sausage, however, was disappointing and not very appealing. Service was slow, but they seemed quite busy. If you choose any toppings besides the sausage, you're in for a great pizza experience!

New York pizza in OKC. This is our favorite pizza place in OKC. Try a meatball and the garlic knots. All of their pizza's are so good. Joe's White Pizza with meatballs is my favorite but I really like everything on the menu.
