Firehouse Subs Mccalla - Bessemer

I 'm not sure what happen to the way Firehouse Subs was or operated in the past. The customer service is just blah at this location... I stopped coming to this location a few years ago due to the customer service. I live in the area, so I decided to give it a try eat something fresh. So I ordered and the cashier says, We don 't have large . My thought was how are you making small and medium, but have no large. Well a customer came in after me, and the cashier accommodated by making a large sandwich by putting a medium and a small together. I could do nothing, but laugh inside thinking This is what I get for coming back Then they were out of some toppings and a medium box to put my medium sandwich in. As I sat waiting on my sandwich, that I now regretted ordering, I see one of the employees behind the counter touch her face and the other touch her hair twice. I just don 't know what happen to the Firehouse Subs that I really liked, because of the cool and welcoming atmosphere. If the standard has dropped or if there is no standard at all ... discard everything above. I just really don 't know what happened...

Since the Firehouse is closed in Hoover, you'll need to consider other locations like Homewood, Brook Highland, or McCalla. I had to pick up my online order from PetSmart in McCalla, so this was the most convenient choice. When we placed our order for a small Italian combo and a middle hooker, there were a few people ahead of us waiting for their food. It didn't take long for our name to be called, and we received our order. I have to say, we got our food faster than we ever did at the Hoover location, which always seemed slow. The food was tasty, but the fries looked a bit past their prime. I forgot to mention that I wanted no pickles, but it seems they still included them in the order.

DO NOT recommend, thought I would give this place a try after waiting a few months, this was a dumb idea. Food was Luke warm, was out of more than half of the drink options and would not fix the machine bc ?we don?t refill until it?s completely out? thatwas a lie. I have been here before and had much better service. Not sure if ownership management or what has changed but to beserved in this manner for what you pay is garbage.

I ordered the small meatball sub and it was okay. Nothing really all that tasty about it. Did enjoy the Coke Freestyle Cherry Limeade. Didn't think the sub was worth what I paid for it.

I asked for mustard there was no mustard the bun was toasted about 10 minutes before the sandwich was made so it was all dried out and my meat wasn't cooked at all but the pickle was good
