I recently contacted corporate about a concern I had with one of their retail products. It appeared to be mold on my Italian beef after cooking it from frozen. According to the owner it was birefringence, however, I’m not convinced that the product was safe to consume. I explained that I purchased two family packs of Italian beef from one location and a smaller tub from an Aldi location. I also expressed that I believe the meat in question came from the container from Aldi due to the amount that had the discoloration. This review is more about the way the owner handled the situation. I was contacted via phone and I missed the call, so a message was left. As I listened to the message the person speaking seemed uninterested in making things right with me as a customer and more interested in explaining to me how I was wrong and that they did nothing wrong on their end. I was told that I would have to take it up with Aldi. Keep in mind I’m not one hundred percent sure that it was the meat from Aldi. I mentioned in my feedback that I believe it was the meat from there and that it may have been due to a power outage or maybe something happened in shipping. I attempted to call back, but no one answered and I wasn’t going to play phone tag via voicemails. For the response I received an email could’ve and should’ve been sent. I looked into birefringence and what was on the meat I cooked didn’t appear to be that. It was spotty and the meat that it was on was darker in color than the meat that it wasn’t on as if it was spoiled. As a breastfeeding mama of a newborn with a family I wasn’t chancing it. I’ve never seen Italian beef look like this at any of their restaurants and I’m sure if a customer in restaurant purchased this they would quickly be refunded.
Perfect! They set everything up and the food was amazing as always!
The newest Buona Beef in Lakemoor, using their app says they are sold out of Fettuccine Alfredo. Pasta. I called the location yesterday and spoke to the General Manager named Jason, he said he would take care of the matter. This has been the case for days now. I checked this morning and it still says it's all sold out. I want to send my husband to pick up an order thru drive thru by ordering on the app, on Saturday( he cannot walk in because he had a stroke) and I cannot place an order on their app. I cannot come with my husband to go into the restaurant and tell them personally that their app is incorrect because I will have guests, What do I do?I spoke with someone earlier had a heavy Mexican accent, not sure if he was just an employee or what, when I told him about the problem, he said to choose Rigatoni and then switch to Alfredo. That did not make sense, but I tried it and it definitely did not work. The only reason I chose 1 star was because I could not post this without choosing any stars.
