I had the Sous-vide flank steak with white wine Risotto and grilled Jalapeños and it was excellent. Since the chefs make all sauces themselves, they know their products. The meat is seasoned with salt and pepper and you can choose heavy side-dishes, e.g. carrots, Cole Slav salad, potato wedges.
We went to this restaurant for dinner during our stay in Bern. Quality food but poor and slow service. The quantity of meat served was chosen by the restaurant staff, different from what was written on the paper and we had to request the sauce for the chips several times which arrived practically when we finished eating. In conclusion, good experience for the food, but the rest lacks a bit of refinement.
It was my birthday yesterday (March 16th) and my son invited me to this extraordinary restaurant. I'm thrilled and will come back!

I ordered all 3 burger menus as take away. No.1 The pulled beef burger was excellent, just what you would expect from a pulled beef. But the other 2 burgers were bad. No.2 The Wagyu Burger had no sauce and minimal cheese that you couldn't even taste it, even though it was a Bernese Küssli. In addition, some of the meat was so burnt that it was bitter and dry. This burger with fries was 42 francs, which is completely exaggerated considering the minimalist portion of fries. #3 The cheese burger was not balanced at all, the raclette cheese was way too bitter for the chipotle sauce, which was too sour. It generally had a strange taste. But what disappointed me the most was the amount of fries they gave us. I ordered a portion of pulled beef fries as an addition, but I have never seen such a small portion of fries for this price. That's just a disgrace, I spent a total of 119 francs for the 3 burger menus and an additional portion of pulled beef fries. Which, in my opinion, is far too expensive. This is the first and last time I eat at Beef.
