We were in the Bermuda Run area today so, we decided to stop in. We had looked through the Lowes app to see the weekly specials and wanted to pick up some of the ribeye steaks which were on sale. But we were only able to see three packages in the cooler at about 2pm on a Saturday afternoon. The rest of our shopping experience was fine as we picked up a few items but it really got uncomfortable when we went to the check stand. Our cashier began ringing up our order and we watched the computer screen to ensure the items rang up correctly. She got to the end of the order and we questioned why the beer we picked up did not ring up correctly when they were clearly marked down $2.00 for two Carolina based beers. This is the ongoing special when items are made in the state of North Carolina. We informed our cashier, who may have been training about the price discrepancy and she was quick to ask the person bagging our groceries. He didn't know either and approached one of the three women employees who were talking at the front of the store. All three women came over to the check stand and we told them the beer wasn't ringing up correctly. We noticed none of them made eye contact and began whispering to each other before one of the ladies began walking back to the beer aisle. While she was gone the four other employees stood there and it felt uncomfortable. After a couple of minutes she walked back to the register and began whispering to the other women. There was no communication to us at all, she just began punching in the discount which reduced our total. After I removed my credit card I was asked if I wanted cash back to which I replied no. I was told I was charged the original total and I was getting $2.14 back in cash. I did not ask or do anything to get cash back. I just wanted to pay what was owed with my credit card and not receive any change back but I did, it was strange. Honestly was the wait worth $2.00, no. Was the attitude and response by the employees justified, no. It is really frustrating when you go to any business and the items do not ring up correctly. We just wanted to get in and get out and these women made it feel like it was our fault the item didn't ring up correctly. Our customer service experience at the other Lowes are always above average when compared to other grocery stores but that was absolutely not our experience today. We will not be returning to the Bermuda Run Lowes.
No self check out, no place to put groceries they make you hand it to them. Absurd for a grocery store
Love this place, we always have a great shopping experience here, especially after they renovated it. Rearranging the shelves was a great idea. Bright and very pleasing to the eye.
Avoid at all cost. Short gray-haired manager is a tool. No self checkout. Frequent out of date meat. 1 star because it won't allow 0 stars.
This Lowes is right next to the Hampton Inn in Bermuda Run so it was quick and easy to go pick up a few things when needed. Not Wal-Mart or Aldi pricing by far, to me they are the pricier side, but like I said it saves you a trip down the road. My daughter was with us and she has a Lowes card which helped some. We tried the deli one night for dinner. I got a 3 piece chicken tender meal with 2 sides, pinto beans and broccoli casserole. The wife 2 chicken legs and mac and cheese Both came with the choice of a yeast roll or corn bread. They had no butter for the rolls. It was just o.k., not bad but not really good either. The wife I agreed to a hard pass on the deli in the future. Daughter and granddaughter made salads and since they charge by weight, they were pushing $10 a piece for salads. My daughter also loves their grape chicken salad but what she bought this time had very few grapes in it. The daughter and I were both disappointed they had quit carrying 2 items we always got when we came up up here. For her it as a box of crustini's made fresh in the bakery and for me the Carolina red slaw from the deli. The girl that waited on us that night in the deli was kind of in a fog and didn't seem to have much of a clue about what items the deli had or didn't have. There's a Lowes Foods about 20 minutes from our house back home, but we'll pass and stick with Wal-Mart and Aldi. Like I said it's right next to the hotel, so if you need something its convenient, but you'll pay for that convenience.
