Pleasant family run boho style space with mixed period furniture and two main salon areas on a corner location. Streetside seating in sun. Self service. No big loud club music. Chilled, local friendly, not pretentious. Faces onto Helmholzplatz park.

Our favourite bar in Berlin. It's great as a cafe in the daytime and a bar at night and we've even been for breakfast. Popular but never rammed, it's an ideal place for just kicking back, chilling and listening to the wonderfully diverse music. Love...it.

I just had a horrible experience at the Wohnzimmer. My boyfriend and I came in for a few caipis. They tasted like pure cachaça, even after mixing them up a bit. So naturally, I took them up to the bar and told the woman bartender...that they tasted like pure liquor, not like lime and sugar. She then rudely snapped at me “what do you want me to do about it? Make you new ones or add some sugar?” raising her arms in an agressive way. Taken aback by her incredibly rude response, I paused for a moment, and then said “well, if you don’t mind, can you make new ones?” She then responded “well actually, I DO mind.” I was so shocked by this response that I just turned around, put the crappy drinks on the counter and immediately left the bar. This is by far the worst customer service I have experienced in Germany. The girl should NO DOUBT be fired. This occurred on April at about The girl had brown hair/eyes, rosy cheeks, and was somewhat short. I really am still in disbelief that she had the nerve to treat paying customers in this manner. What a WASTE of going to this bar again.

An east Berlin classic. Good cocktails, nice ambience, friendly people, reasonable prices. What's not to like? They have been here for year's now, so the floors are refurbished, unfortunately, the old floor was full of huge holes, worn out, but very beautiful with all...the sign of history.

From the environmental point of view it could be cool and in with all the old second or third hand antiques- a mix of everything put together like from a fleemarket, on the other side, very well arranged and not tacky at all. This morning...cafe/ brunch/ coffeehouse/ bar and late hangout place has definately it's own atmosphere, the music varies from retro to electro and the barkeepers are always super friendly even in the most busy hours of the night. People frequenting this place are colorful and from high school to start up businesses. One of the most interesting places to go when you want to hang out in the Helmholz area.
