The noodles were not even blanched or fried to soften them. They were chewy. The taste was also bland. The curry puffs were just slightly better. They tasted ok but with a heavy curry powder flavour. Both items came close to €20! I was deeply disappointed to experience that the ONLY Malaysian restaurant in Berlin served such terrible Malaysian food. It 's as if they put no effort into the food.
Authentic, tasty Malaysian food with a large option of dishes in a really nice atmosphere. Always recommend this place.
I will not say this is the same as going to KL, but when you want to reminisce about the great food you find in the Malaysian capital, this restaurant will help you. Service is fast and friendly, and if you have special needs, the waitress/owner is patient. No dogs are allowed in this restaurant. I had the festive plate (ca. 15EUR) which was gigantic. Their Sate is quite authentic. I also tried Nasi Lemak. The home made Sambal was delicious. The chicken curry they serve with the pancake is pretty close to the authentic curry in the backstreets of KL. My friend also told me that the Teh Tarik is authentic. Price is reasonable, the portions are big, and the ambience is relaxed and quiet. I highly recommend this option to anyone with a soft spot for Malaysian food.
Thank you for the incredibly good food and warm hospitality! Who comes here can expect authentic Malaysian cuisine. I can only put it on every stomach to taste the dishes. Here, too, the drinks are a must! In any case, the Seri Melayu is not only worth a visit, they have already won me as a regular customer:
Yesterday for the first time there and I can recommend it to everyone. The staff are more than accommodating and the food was exceptionally delicious. Actually, I'm not a big fan of Asian cuisine, but I've been taught a better one here. Welcome to the next visit
