Located just around the corner from the Hilton, on a quiet street. Very friendly staff and good value. Great place to relax and enjoy a great meal.
My teenage son and I were beginning to worry that we wouldn't be able to find a place to eat on a public holiday in Berlin where every restaurant seemed to be full. However we turned a corner and found Sapa which at 9 pm was empty but fortunately still open and serving food. I had the seafood bowl and my son had crispy duck. Both dishes were delicious. The waiting staff were very helpful and friendly - our German wasn't great and neither was their English - but we all understood each other. I thought the prices were on the high side but the quality of the food more than made up for it. Highly recommended.
Love the vegetarian selection offered by this restaurant . Veggie tempura avocado maki and Thai curry are some of the veggie dishes that they offer. Their Waiters are super friendly and served people with a broad smile. Would thoroughly recommend this restaurant situated in a quiet corner off just one block from the Hilton Berlin.
Found Sapa on 1st night in Berlin looking for a restaurant near our hotel. Welcoming and helpful staff. Reasonable prices. I had the seafood bowl, full of pieces of delicious fish and prawns with fragrant rice and salad. My wife, like me a seafood nut, for once picked the crispy duck and said it was the best she ever had.
Identitycrisis is the first time that come in mind. It's not really a sushi restaurant, because they have dishes from different South East Asin countries. My guess is that the people are Vietnamese, not Japanese or Chinese. The decor varies from kitsch to Asian. Purple velvet curtains and animal lamps to terracotta-style statues to golden bling to black&white photos of Hollywoodstars. Very strange decor. The menu is large and because the waiter and waitress both seem to have trouble with English, we wrote down the dishes (nrs) we wanted on a note by ourselves and gave it to the waiter. And still he managed to leave out 2 dishes. The plate of various sushi we ordered was okay, nothing special. The grilled tuna salad was missing the advocado. The yakitori was a bit too salty. The crispy duck was delicious with enough vegetables. The seafood rice bowl was good. All together we did have a pleasant and fairly tasty dinner for a (in my opinion) fair price.
