Samowar - Berlin

Excellent meal, attentive service, located close to the castle of charlottenburg and the river shuttle on the spree. I recommend it warmly!

Russian beer turned out to be a risky move, but great shaschlik as a unique dish. the menu from the best on cold days, especially for those who choose, by tradition, to drink vodka. atmosphere, style furniture and good service.

I just came back from a one week trip to Russia and already felt like Russian food again. Samowar was close to my hotel so I gave it a try. I had a gorgeous dinner. The "herring with potato coat" was delicious (and huge as a starter), and I had Solyanka as second dish which was also good. As drinks I had kvas, as always, highly recommended. The best was the music, though. Reminded me of my first trip to Russia back in the 90s. The dekor is said to be from Zaristic times. Not sure about that but it does look nice.

Good news, for a restaurant on the edge of a tourist site we didn't expect much. and the boss was super nice and welcoming and we loved his specialty, the samowar. Russian flat. It's not a gastro either, but you're feeling family cooking. We loved bcp. We recommend it.

I have been twice there and both times enjoyed an atmosphere and nice service. Delicious food and good price.
