Excellent creative cooking, freshest food and fantastic Sicilian wines. This is our top recommendation for Mitte - you can experience the passion of the owners and the skills of the kitchen. Having read good reviews about Riva Fish and Wine we arrived at the restaurant with great excitement and cravings for some excellent seafood. The waiter warmly welcomed us into the modern and nicely looking restaurant. The atmosphere was good and the place looked neat and clean. Hence, we felt comfortable ordering different plates to share, including wine recommended by the waiter. However, the food turned out to be a big disappointment. The home made bread was extremely dry, the potato chips was soft, the Caponata lacked texture and tasted like regular Sweet and Sour Sauce, our plate of fried fish was over cooked, the intestines had not been removed from the back of the fried shrimps (!!!). Finally, the supposedly "grilled tuna" we ordered had just been fried on a pan. In sum, the wine and service was good but the food it self was a big disappointment, especially when considering the price level.

Italian style delicatessen. Best Burrata ever. Lovely wine. Fresh fish and shellfish personal and friendly service. Modern touch.

Came across this superb restaurant by chance on our last night in Berlin. Lobster dishes superb . A great range of gins and a real flair for customer service here.
