Hugos - Berlin

Its hard to rate a Michelin star restaurant, I mean why bother? All I can add is that the food was well crafted and delicious, the service friendly and efficient and the ambience indulgent. But the real star was the view. Get there before dark and you can see Berlin in all its glory with 360 degree views from atop the Intercontinental Hotel.

The food in this restaurant is perfect. very well balanced tastes and nicely presented. Not only the view on the plate is appealing. As the restaurant is located at the top of the Intercontinental hotel, one has a beautiful view over the city as well.The pairing wines were a perfect match and the service is friendly and genuine. Highly recommended. As is becoming standard in Germany, there is a vegetarian option as well.

Amazing meal, great flavors, great wines, fabulous view, excellent service - it was expensive but worth it!

On the top floor in the Intercontinental hotel near Bahnhof Zoo, Hugos also brings top food. The style is modern, a bit dark layed back colours of the interior. The food is however not layed back. Choosing free from already composed and suggested menus, you have a lot to read and decide upon on arrival. Your choice could be accompanied by a glass from the excellent wine list.Cooking style is "slim" (elegantly presented moderate portions), modern and quite inventive. Concentration on selected flavours are beautifully combined.Our only complaint is a too long waiting time between starter and main (30 min). The restaurant was full on our visit and the staff was a bit understaffed... Something for the management to think about in keeping the Michelin star they now rightly have.Recommended!

Excellent food. And also very beautiful - like artworks, beautiful compositions. We had the 4-course menu, but with extra it was much, 8 compositions. Very good, perfect, service. And a fantastic view over Berlin. We made a reservation long time before 3 June, the restaurant was not full, but I would' t chance. Try this restaurant!
