Our first day in Berlin could not have ended in a better way. Three of us found the tasting menu with the wine pairing at this restaurant simply amazing. . It is a small place and only 5 of the 7 tables were occupied on...this Monday night. The staff was very good at describing the food and the wine in English. The meal was pleasantly paced, service neither too fast or slow. It took us about three and a half hours to complete the tasting. . The food was plentiful. While the tasting consisted of 7 course that didn’t include the three types of chef’s finger food that was served before we even ordered or the pre-dessert or the petit fours that were served with the coffee. All of these were delightfully tasty as were the 7 tasting courses. We especially liked the char with kohlrabi, dill and mustard; the pike with mussels, lettuce and hollandaise; and the Brussel sprouts with white beans, hazelnuts and lardo. Of course, the other dishes like the qual with parsley root and mushrooms or the beef with potato and leeks were also amazing. . The wine pairings were excellent. Each course had its own perfectly matched wine. One wine that was described as rough became outstanding as it was drank with the meal. The pours were generous as my spouse couldn’t keep up and finished the meal with several almost finished glasses by her plate. All in all, it was a great meal. This place is highly recommended. Be sure to dine here while in Berlin.
Such nice people who escort you through the menu. The food is delicious and we did chose for the non alcoholic beverages with the menu. Every dish was explained thoroughly and so were the beverages. Amazing taste and super friendly staff. A joy to have...been here.
Multicourse tasting menu (they said 7 but we counted like 9 or 10! and we opted for the paired wines. Every dish was unique and thoughtfully presented. Couple that with great service and it is easy to see why this place has a .
We decided to have my birthday dinner here because we were in the city for the coldplay concert. it was our first Michelen Star experience. Maybe we had high expectations, but we felt a little underwhelmed when we left. it also felt like the menu was too hard without the wow factor. I have eaten in several restaurants that didn't play meele, and she super surpassed this. we spend a wild amount of money for a really underwhelming experience and to be honest, we were ready to leave when the dessert died. I hate to say that about eating, but that's why people want to visit this place! I will say that the personal was absolutely amazing. they were friendly, helpful, attentive and as a whole amazing. from the moment we walked into me, I felt welcome what is huge. so 10/10 for the staff, 5/10 for eating.
