The dishes were either ok or a miss, nothing to rave about. And for that price, water really should be included, instead they charge 7.50 euros for a bottle of water. Overall it was a very disappointing experience, I do not recommend.
Hit and miss... 3 of the 6 courses where great, the other 3 ok... The restaurant very informal, industrial and minimalistic. From a 1 restaurant I expect more luxury like some nice amuses or other nice extras. The staff is friendly and attentive. Wine pairing was good, unfortunately no option for half glasses. Overall not the value for money I've hoped for.
I don’t like writing bad reviews and generally i believe in “If you don’t have anything good to say, don’t say anything at all”. Well, so let’s start positive. The experience leading up to the dinner is fun and exciting. The concept is something i like as well: this industry needs to innovate and try new things. The restaurant space itself was quiet disappointing to me. The rugged and industrial “designed” restaurant felt more like an afterthought to a warehouse. Very berlin i guess. It is also quiet cramped with very limited space in between tables. It was packed with customers and very loud imo. It was also quiet warm in there. These are all things that made me feel especially uncomfortable considering we are in the midst of an pandemic. They did only let people in that got tested, but i still think it was not necessary to fill the space like this. Even without corona this would have been an issue. The food was overall disappointing to me. The dishes overall lacked flavor and expression. I felt at times basic seasoning was missing. The presentation seemed excessive compared to the overall result. Besides the beet root dish i did not like much. The wine pairing was only good. Service seemed stressed and rushed with the dishes. For me a no-go! After mentioning it they slowed it down. Food was introduced and that’s it. I missed a feeling of passion and proudness for their trade in their overall attitude. Overall very disappoint considering the price and prestige coming with a star. The quality was just not there. This is purely my opinion and based on many visits in all sorts of fine dining venues around the world as well on my education in this industry. Casual fine dining is a niche that can be done a lot better.
I have eaten a dozen a two star michelin star restaurants and this is unfortunately not worth visiting. it felt overwhelming in all points. the kitchen was missing something and most weep where moderate. the decoration reminds them of their parents cellar. I feel ashamed that I spent 300 € in such a bad restaurant. I am confident to call it a demolition.
I was invited to my first star restaurant there. we knew it would be expensive and it will be more experience. Love that is all vegetarian or vegan, amazing wein paring, it's fun even looking for the entrance if you want to get it. tho, I'm not really as impressed with eating as I thought I'd be. some plates were simply too intensive as it was fun at the beginning, then the 5th and 6th plates were too much aromen. the desert was the best part. we wanted to have full experience so that we were 7 teller menu, but to be honest, I would really recommend going for 5 because the 2 “extra” were the worst from all evening meal. we paid like 200€ per person, which was expected, but I think the smaller option would be better.
