Cafe Godot - Berlin

At one of the hotspots in the prenzlauer mountain. tourist are sometimes somewhat amazed, as every half an hour a retanning car or even a complete firefighting train stops at the intersection. with corresponding siren signal. the secret is quickly ventilated: 200 meters further is the oldest fire station of the professional firefighter in berlin. they have a lot to do at any season.But to the local: as a restaurant I would not call it, rather a caffe or pub with a partly kitchen. I don't know these - they are so much more for fast hunger.The drinks are however well maintained, among others also guiness from the barrel, which is quite rare in this corner (no one comes to berlin because of guiness, but berliner drink a good beer which comes outside the city).The young service was extremely good. attentive, friendly and a little chatter not dismissed. you can't expect a better gastronomic service. Eating is probably not as knorke as you say here in berlin, but otherwise it makes everything right locally.

Came across this place on our first trip to Berlin a few years ago and always come back when we visit. Their breakfast is second to none and great value. The decor is out there but don't pre judge it. Great spot to chill out and watch the world go by
