Zut Tavern - Berkeley

Well, I have to say that the service we received was very good, so I'll give a shout out to Rick (Riccardo) our server.

The food has such potential If only the chef didn't smoke..

Today, 9/3/17, was the most sub-par dining experience I've had at Zut in many years dining there.

Large caesar and excellent mushroom pizza. excellent service!

The personal here is really nice and seem to try to ask each. the vibe is a kind of neighboring place and feels very warm and welcoming. we tried the roasted grapes over ricotta. it tasted like warm grapes over ricotta. it was still funny. the scallop salad was a little fishy smell and a tad overcooked. the pork was slightly pink and perfectly cooked. the pappersdelle with bolognese was also delicious. I think eating is easy and most dishes are good, but I don't see any grill items in the $30 series.
