Fantastic location with plenty of space, offering a wonderful selection of authentic pizza and pasta! I was truly impressed; the pizza crust, tagliatelle, sauces, and flavors brought back memories of beautiful Italy. I'm definitely looking forward to trying more! A thousand thanks to everyone!

It’s worth mentioning that Passione Caffè truly lives up to its slogan: “A corner of Italy in Berkeley.” From the food and drinks to the atmosphere and service, this is by far the most genuine Italian café I’ve found in Berkeley, and this is based on more than a year of living and traveling in Italy! In addition to its beautiful architecture and interior design, Passione Caffè boasts a convenient location next to downtown Berkeley BART. Now, let’s talk about some highlights from the menu. All the pasta is made with homemade, organic noodles and crafted sauces, making the dishes incredibly fresh and authentic. You have to try the spaghetti with meatballs, which is the only American dish on the menu—it’s fantastic! The pizzas are crafted using homemade dough, and there are gluten-free options available. I highly recommend trying one topped with fresh prosciutto, mozzarella, and arugula! The fresh panini, filled with Italian meats and cheeses, complete the lunch offerings. You can enjoy a hearty dinner for just $7-15, which is quite budget-friendly by Berkeley standards! One of the standout features is the handcrafted gelato, made in-house by co-owner Eleanora Cercatore. They offer 12 flavors each week, including gluten-free options, all presented on a lovely rotating display. The gelato is absolutely delicious—I can’t recommend it enough! For your time, money, and the delightful Italian snacks and beverages, I wholeheartedly endorse Passione Caffè as the best café in Berkeley. Make sure to visit soon—you won’t be disappointed!

Passione Caffe is the ideal spot for a private party. The three-course meal was authentic and exceptional, and the tapas were just right. If you're considering celebrating a birthday here, don’t hesitate! The venue is fantastic, and the staff is excellent, helpful, and welcoming.

Very elegant. Huge interior with many chairs, couches and bar area. Not too loud, just talking to others. Easy to drink. A little pricy, but it's worth it.

Delicious fresh pasta. The best lasagna I ever tasted. Desert delicioso as well and service is great. They did however ran out of some pastries but that means you just have to arrive early because it is just that good.
