Mudrakers Café - Berkeley

The café is small, straightforward, and friendly. It has a cozy couch and offers free Wi-Fi. I really enjoyed my chai, and it stays open later than the other cafés nearby.

I was in the area and decided to stop by this café for a coffee or tea. I entered with my son in his stroller and approached the counter to place our order. The man behind the counter gave me a blank stare and didn't say a word. I greeted him, but he hesitated before responding with a barely audible "hi." He didn't say anything else—not even "I'll be with you in a minute!" Feeling frustrated and unwelcome, we decided to leave and won’t be returning or recommending this café to anyone.

This is a laid-back spot for lunch and brunch. I really enjoy their quinoa bowls, nut dishes, and fresh juices. As a vegan, it can be challenging to find places that offer not only options for me but also healthy choices. I’ll definitely be returning!

Great place. does not pretend to be anything that it is not. owner manager hazem (or hazim) is very friendly and thoughtful. he is a worldly man with many interests and a great heart. I enjoyed my big latte, and my partner enjoyed their hot chocolate (and is a regular here) would definitely recommend!

Lovely spot! I brought the kid I'm nannying, and the owner was so friendly. Gave extra whipped cream for the little one's hot chocolate as well : Will be back to try other menu items
