Little Hunan - Berkeley

I never leave reviews. But I have consistently gone to Little Hunan for over 15 years. It is the best cheap chinese food in Berkeley. Love it for what it is a greasy delightful hole in the wall with friendly service and unbeatable prices. Cash only!

I work on campus and I've come to love this place for the combo chow mein. I lovingly refer to it as the best greasy noodle place in the bay. Don't come here expecting fancy cuisine and you won't be disappointed. It's just good americanized Chinese food. The owner is really nice. They're a mom and pop place that's been around for 30+ years. Worth supporting IMHO!

Excellent food. They were very good with their customer service, and the price was perfect compared to most Chinese restaurants. Large portions and they went out of their way to show respect to me as a customer. Definitely worth the money and definitely recommend eating here. I will be here again.

Yesterday was our first time in this good restaurant. But It is no doubt not the last time. We had great time with the efficient service, with the magnificent food and fine drinks and with the honest cost. We will no doubt return there in a short time.

Little Hunan seems to focus on the college student who is smart considering that it is near the campus. Many restaurants nearby early in Berkeley, but this place has very long hours. The owner claims he is open 24 hours a day for 6 days a week. I don't know if it's true, but I went to midnight and the place was open. I think this is an important quality. As far as food is concerned, quality is not the largest, but most of it is quite cheap. A noodle or rice dish is a good price, and it is worth the amount you receive. No court is characterized by this restaurant, but they strive for cheap, affordable dishes, not for quality I think.
