The very nice girl that took my order said: my favorite is the tamal that is wrapped in a banana leaf with potatoes, capers and some other big ingredients, and the spiced soy protein taquitos. And I added Flacos Signature Avocado Salsa. You are gluten free my friends) So... I ordered the 5 1 Taquitos and the 2 Banana Leaf Tamales! I'm sorry if I don't write anymore, because I have to eat this meal!! Buen Sondecho my friends!! Give a thumb high if you have read this review so far, thank you in advance! Love!
Delicious fresh, handmade Mexican food!! The mild salsa is so fkn delicious! All other salsas are spicy AF as they use habeneros. The rice and beans was everything I needed it to be (I got refried, oil lard free)! The banana leaf tamal was delicious COVERED in the mild green sauce. Get extra salsa!!! The taquitos are fried crunchy, excellent sensory experience. Get extra salsa! Whole food plant based Mexican. Eat delicious and healthful. Already planning my return.
Already looking forward to my next visit. So happy to have found this gem really appreciate that everything is vegan and high quality. Feels home cooked. Highly recommend!! Nice people working here too.
Delicious food, everything on the menu is great, great service. I think it's so awesome they have organic stuff too. It's starting to be a weekly routine for Taco Thursdays! yum
I came to try the vegan options at this restaurant, but I was disappointed. I would recommend going to a traditional taqueria instead and avoiding ordering dishes with cheese. It's possible that we ordered the wrong items, but if you have had good taquitos, tacos, rice, and beans before, you may also find this place lacking. It seems like the positive reviews may be from people who are not familiar with authentic Mexican cuisine. The service was good, however. The taquitos were dry and lacked flavor, with a crispy outer shell that didn't have much filling or spice. The avocado crema or salsa was bland and watery, so be sure to ask for extra spice if you want more flavor. The rice was dry and tasteless, not like traditional Spanish rice, and the black beans were mediocre at best, tasting like canned beans with added water. The tacos were mostly cabbage and lacked flavor, although the tortilla was decent. Even the Jamaica drink seemed watered down, possibly from sitting out too long. Overall, I was disappointed with my meal and would recommend asking for extra salsa to add some much-needed flavor.
