Marcellos - Berkeley Heights

The outdoor setup at this restaurant is the best I've experienced during the Covid crisis! My wife and I felt very comfortable and safe under Marchello's spacious canopy. I had the homemade pork bracciola with fresh linguini, while my wife enjoyed the Fiocchi D’amore Casalinga—absolutely delicious! The pizza features a perfect crust, which I loved! More often than not, Marchello is present; if you don't see him, he's likely in the kitchen, ensuring everything is up to standard. He genuinely cares for his customers. The service was excellent. I highly recommend visiting Marchello’s; bring your family and your favorite wine—you won't be disappointed!

I had a quick pick-up experience with fast service and plenty of parking available. We ordered the cheesecake and the large cold antipasti salad. The pizza was delicious; the brick oven really made a difference. However, I wish it had been a bit larger—I've found that Nick's in Fanwood offers the biggest pies in the area. The antipasti was a fantastic choice, though I would have preferred balsamic dressing instead of the standard Italian. I wonder if they’d allow outdoor dining in their backyard now that COVID-19 restrictions have eased. It could be a lovely spot for an evening out.

We had an excellent experience with our server, Luis, who took great care of us. The food was plentiful and delicious, and the prices were very reasonable for the portions. We will definitely be coming back!
