Vlaams Mijnmuseum - Beringen

Very nice museum to learn about how it used to be, especially the tour is a tour! Also for children, it's very nice, because that means a tablet gets all sorts of information.

Personally, I thought it was kind of interesting as adults, but imoly a missed opportunity when it comes to childhood/educational value for children and youth. The information there is, the material, the stories, the... It could be so much more interesting, creative and more interactive. In his current form, I actually think it's a 12 museum. I also found too high in relationships with how many my children had it. One more per person has to pay for the underground experience gave me a nasty feeling. That's really not a nice system. Important comment: The videos need subtitles! This particularly for bad-hearted people, but also for people who have trouble understanding the dialect.

An impressive place with almost a hundred years of history where weathen grew up with heathen to a multicultural community and played important role in the economic growth of our country. Very nice 2 a 3-hour tour thanks to the mine guide Patrick.

We had a super interesting group tour in Dutch and a little German. We could understand everything...sometimes with requests... well. Since the original cleats are no longer accessible, it goes into a replica during the guided tour. We liked it very well!!!

The (optional) extra guided tour, by volunteering ex mineworkers gives it a lot of extra dimension, and an immersive experience recommended!
