California Bakery - Bergamo

The waiter didn’t speak English very well and we don’t speak Italien very well. Nevertheless we managed to order… after about 20-25 minutes they brought us our food. They got our order wrong: we ordered the VEGAN avocado sandwich and got the one with egg! They also brought us small water bottle instead of one big one. They also rang up things we didn’t even order. The coffee my mom ordered didn’t even arrive. Overall not a great experience, the food could not make up for it.

We had breakfast at California Bakery in Bergamo and it was a lovely experience. The place is located within the cable car station of Bergamo Alta. The location is charming and cozy. The terrace is amazing, with an overview of Bergamo Lower city. The food and coffee were super tasty. The staff was nice and the service good. They also have some eye catching desserts we didn't order any unfortunately.

Stunning views but really rude staff!!! Not friendly at all. Croissants are really good but they should re train the staff regarding customer service. As from reading other reviews on different sites, their attitude is a problem.

Excellent cappuccino and croissant, friendly and prepared staff, wonderful view of the city.

It's sad to see that a beautiful historic place became a globalised food stuff. It lost it's charm and soul. I will never return there.
