Quality meat at reasonable prices and the service was phenomenal. I really enjoyed the fact that you can buy exactly how much you need for your household, and they will butcher it to the exact specifications you desire.

Visited B&W on a whim to get some supplies to try out my new smoker. Initial thought great selection, especially the stuff that isn't on display (frog legs, sausage varieties, etc). Some of the marbling on the steak wasn't as pronounced as some of the other butcher shops in Houston, but the price is right. They also had a huge variety of frozen products, spice rubs, bbq sauces, etc (more than I expected for the seasonings actually). My only real negative was that I think the guy helping me out was new, because he had to go ask his supervisor about each order (pork butt, chuck roast, and pork fat) so I think it could have gone a little more smoothly. I'll definitely be back to check out some of the pre marinated cuts and maybe try the oxtail (which looked great).

I have been going to B&W since I was a teenager. They have the best crown roast that I have cut in half for me and Cutless. They are pretty fast with their service and great customer service. Ten stars.

This a really good meat market but the wait times can be bad. They will not accept phone in orders so you just have to walk in grab a number and wait.

I lived in Houston for 14 years before finally stopping here, friends have talked about it off and on for years, but it was totally worth the trip out to independence heights from 3rd ward. So many different cuts of meat, sausages, alligator and bayou foods. They have an insane amount of seasonings to flavor things up and what imo is a huge collection of smoking pellet flavors. I was super impressed, staff are prompt and friendly .
