Trattoria autentica, con pochissimi piatti (finalmente ma tutti gustosi, in una piccola frazione tra cascine e ville storiche, tra boschi e risaie, a pochi passi dal ponte delle barche sul Ticino.

We reached zelata on a bike ride and had the choice of Trattoria Ticino or a nearby restaurant. After looking through the reviews for each on Tripadvisor, the decision seemed easy: Trattoria Ticino apparently offered simple, genuine meals in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Well, the gentleman who set up a table in the courtyard was friendly enough, but it was all downhill from there. The woman who served us was gruff and barely interested in telling what we might eat (there is no printed menu . I ordered risotto con salsicce which turned out to be a huge plate of watery rice, and my husband had the ravioli al brasato, a small portion topped with an inspid tomato sauce both primi seemed like something dumped out of a bag from the supermarket. For secondi I had a leg of duck: cooked and slapped on a plate, no seasoning, no effort (the galletto was a better choice . The salad fixings were subpar (was that even olive oil? . When we were asked if we wanted anything else, I had high hopes for the desserts, based on some of the reviews and someone's photo of a marvelous looking chocolate and cream thing surrounded by strawberries. There was no trace of anything like that on the list we were hastily recited (just boring crostata or some surely prepackaged ice cream , so we had coffee and got the bill. €25 each €50 total for hugely disappointing primi and secondi that showed no imagination or effort (plus two bottles of water and two coffees we didn't have any wine . I do not need bells and whistles or a Michelin experience, but putting a minimum amount of effort into a meal is the least I expect for that kind of money. A €4 sandwich from a kebab place would have been far more satisfying.

Il ristorante è molto bello, si mangia in un cortile. Il cibo è mediocre, ho pagato 14 euro per mezzo pollo, un prezzo eccessivo.
