I tried to pay with the atm mastercard but it didn't work. I then gave a note of 50 euros and I was turned the rest in lek corresponding to 41 euros; as if I had spent 9 euros instead of 5 and a half! I asked for explanations and the waiter kindly replied that he must stick to the exchange rate established by the club owner. so my criticism is obviously addressed to the owner. since there are, I conclude with other notes on the restaurant: waiter, as I said, kind, solar and affable, but, despite the fact that there were very few people, he let me wait a long time before taking the order, so much so that I had to go inside the room to communicate what I wanted to consume and then ask for the account. Besides I was advised badly on the dishes to take: because both the second and the contour were based on eggplants: It's too heavy. better break up with something different. correspondence does not mean eating the same things in the same meal! one of their typical dishes are stuffed eggplants, but the filling was too soft (and oily): I don't know if it's the way to do it in Albanian, as I am prone to believe and at that point I have nothing to say, except that I don't like the type of dish, which is stomachable or if even in the restaurant they have a little bit exaggerated in making so soft the filling. It remains the fact that with such a heavy and challenging flow to eat, I would have matched something different and dry or limit anything. instead the contour was another dish past style of eggplant (although this was good. However, in the complex miserable combination.) in short, I entrusted myself to the waiter and was pleased to direct my choice (which I obviously appreciated) but perhaps better to do it alone or ask for more information before choosing. . positive note: nice local.
Everything was generally good at the restaurant until it came time to pay. The waitress took my 5000 lek bill to cover the 3250 lek check. She then disappeared for 5 minutes and upon her return she had a big handful of small coins (10s 20s) as my change which should have totaled 1750. She basically dumped them on the table and said she was sorry and had trouble finding change.I felt that something was off, so instead of just pocketing the coins and walking off like a trusting tourist, I spent the time to count the change. It only totaled 750, so i was shortchanged 1000 lek!I then went to find the waitress to ask about the missing change. When I told her she immediately pulled 2 x 500 lek paper bills out of her money belt, apologized briefly and walked away.So why did she have to disappear and bring me all these small coins when her money belt was full of paper bills?...and then to shortchange me 1000 lek hoping I wouldn't' take the time to count all those small coins?I think she could be called the Berat Burglar! Beware the tourist coin trick they play there. Seriously!
Lovely, tasty food, great atmosphere. Would be better if we were given a bigger table for 4 of us (we had a small table)Food: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Make sure to make a reservation because during lunch and dinner times is full. Staff was really friendly especially the hostess who found us a table on the terrace. The views from there are great you can see the river and the other side of old Berat. The food was tasty and well priced for the quantity, quality and really cheap compared to other restaurants located in touristic areas.
Was recommended by everyone around, however service was pathetic, everyone was harassed, orders misplaced, and 1 hr to serve. Food was good, possibly they are not equipped to handle all the clients together.Food: 2/5 Service: 1/5 Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
