But the fresh roles with shrimp had some wilted lettuce, no rice noodles, and the sauce was a really sweet vinegar based sauce. I actually couldn’t eat it past a few bites, it just didn’t taste good. The green curry with chicken was good until I bit into a green bean that tasted spoiled. The brown rice here isn’t very good. The white rice is good though. I was very hungry and overall enjoyed my meal if I look past the few issues I had.
Prices are decent. Atmosphere is simple, when busy the dirty dishes by the bathroom don't look feasible but they probably also have a very small kitchen. Food has good flavor some of our favorites are the veggie fried spring rolls, chicken drunken noodles SPICY, kids fried rice, and the orange chicken. We ordered a Boba and Thai tea on our recent trip and enjoyed the drinks. Service has always been good which is why we continue to come back. As of now this is one of my favorite places to get my Thai kick.
I placed my order on the Thai Basil website mid afternoon for a 6:15 pick up. They received a text at 5:45 saying it was being prepared. I arrived to pick it up at 6:15 after receiving a text saying my order was ready. When I arrived no order was waiting. I waited for a while as they looked very busy but then asked as was informed they were making it. I ended up waiting for my food until 6:55 almost 1 hours of waiting. I asked how could I avoid this in the future and they said don’t order when it is so busy. This was not a good customer experience and as I was waiting for that hour I saw people come in, order and receive food. I understand things can happen and orders maybe missed but they did not seem to care about my hour wait and did not offer way to rectify the mistake. I will have to find a reliable Thai food restaurant now.
The food was pretty good! The service was prompt and nice. The ambience of the place was far from wonderful. The cleanliness is an area of opportunity though. From the tables, the floors, and the bathrooms, it has seen too many days of neglect. There is something g off putting about squeezing past food service supplies to get to the restroom as well.
The Tom Kha was not bad. The Pad See-ew was definitely the best dish.
