Markham Fitz Chocolate - Bentonville

Workers gave us great information and had great service. The drinking chocolate is very good, but this place is definitely overpriced.

I loved to celebrate a piece or two of the 6 layers of chocolate cake for me and a loved one to celebrate birthdays and more, but the quality has seriously the disc I bought last week to treat my loved one with when it was through a rough day only extremely dry and reminded us of a crispy fudge round (not in a good way) instead of the damp and decadent 6 layer we had in the previous years. There is a problem with payment here as well as we have an eye for job advertisements with them and $13/hr is just not a worth living wage for a baker or someone now (especially for a niche chocolate shop that pays the margins according to labor costs). The staff was nice enough (except the lady scheduling for the week and the cashier who was unfamiliar with their products in the display case also could not be on pecan praline, which was strange) and it is a cute environment inside but the product itself was missing. The cocoa lavendertee latte I had was great and well made, and I had a chocolate martini a few days later, that was delicious, but I just can't sell to me dry over this popular menu item (the cake). I have to see if the chocolate caramel teas still hold because this is another dish my partner and I have worshipped and I enjoyed treating us on rare occasions. I hope it's as good as in recent years.

The chocolates are incredible!! You're addicted. Will definitely be on the top of my list for all special occasions.

We came for hot chocolate, but it wasn't even warm. The chocolate is probably good, but it was so diluted by milk and whipped cream that we could hardly taste it.

So my wife and I were super hungry and had a 25 min wait till our table was ready next door to Markham Fitz on Sunday.We walked inside and were greeted by Rachel and another female worker. They were so passionate about the product that I ended up getting numerous chocolates and Rachel paired my purchases with an amazing chocolate old fashioned. I got a tour of the business and learned about about how the source their cacao sustainably. Super cool place that I highly recommend. If the owner of this business read this feedback; you should thank Rachel and the other lady. They are very special employees! JMac
