Waffle House - Benton

The food is very good and there's a nice variety of options. The servers are generally friendly and have a great energy, although that hasn't always been the case during my visits. The atmosphere is typical of Waffle House, which can vary based on the time of day or night you go. I really appreciate that it's open 24/7. However, I'm quite disappointed that they no longer accept call-in orders or even answer the phone, which is why I'm giving it a three-star rating.

I've visited many Waffle Houses, but this one was terrible. It was extremely unclean; the cook was coughing, and no one was wearing gloves. The floor was soaked, and they did nothing to clean it up aside from putting up a wet floor sign. The coffee was both cold and burnt, and the food was overcooked and cold. The staff only stopped by to drop off the check, never asking if we needed anything. The entire shift should be let go. I can't emphasize enough how disgusting this place is.

I've eaten at many restaurants, including numerous Waffle Houses, and this one is by far the worst! It’s hard to mess up a bacon cheeseburger, but somehow they managed to do it. The burger was dripping with grease, the bacon was only half cooked, and the buns weren’t even toasted! You could tell the cook was unhappy in his job, and it really showed in the food. On the bright side, the waitress was very nice. She asked if everything was okay, and I could see in her expression that she already knew it wasn’t going to be great. I told her that I’m not one to complain, paid my bill, tipped her, and I definitely won’t be returning!

Waffle House is made for late-night rendezvous, the crowd is a lively blend of old and young alike. The only connecting fact is their inclination towards nocturnal energy, and WH matches that energy in Spades! Great atmosphere helps great food go downeasy! The greasy salty dishes are a perfect match!
