Trattoria Le Stelle - BENTIVOGLIO

It's a beautiful and tasteful surprise. Daily homemade tagliatelle (handmade as well) with ragù sauce are delicious! For sure the best in this area. Seconds are good, too and daily made. Courtesy always on the top. I suggest this place to everybody.

Friends in Bologna introduced this lovely restaurant to us while visiting from England. We were greeted by very obliging staff who couldn't do enough to help us throughout the evening. The selection and quality of food was excellent, serving typical bolognase dishes. The atmosphere warm and friendly, would have no hesitation to return here on future trips to Bologna!

We by chance find this trattoria while we were driving near the Bologna Interporto exit of A13 highway. We were looking for eating only a second entry, but when spotted Tortellini alla panna in the menu we couldn't resist to order a plate to share. Tortellini were served in 15 min and split in two dishes, which to me looked like regular size each. The tortellini were micro sized, as for real Bologna's tradition, and were deliciously tasting. At that point I felt we hit a promising site. Next we got a Filetto ai Porcini and a Filetto al pepe verde. I got this latter one. The serving look was simple but with a touch of art. As i cut the meat i felt it was super tender and right after my first bite i promptly understood that I was in front of a masterpiece. Meat was juicy tasting, and the pepe verde sauce was perfectly balanced and heavenly combining with the meat. We asked to have meat cooking rear and that was met by the cook. I tried also the mushroom version of filetto, which was very good, but honestly I would rather stick to my al pepe verde version. I never ate any filetto like that. I drank red wine from house, which I bet was Cabernet Franc, and actually turned out it was right that. It was good to me although maybe not everyone likes a bitter tasting wine like that. It was matching well the meat serving. We close the dine with a Creme caramel, which was home made and good. The owner was very kind: never invasive and always prompt to hear our requests and comments. We chatted at the end and it was a pleasure. I surely will stop there again when nearby Bologna.

Il cibo tradizionale bolognese è eccellente. Anche il pesce ordinato era di ottima qualità e quantità.
