Moterrey - Benidorm

We had a set menu meal here for €14.95 with half a bottle of wine each. It was pretty good, for beginners we had yarns in oil and melon with ham. My head was steak in pepper sauce and the lamb of my husband.... The steak was thin, but tasty, but the lamb was a small part and was cold. We have a lot of bread with aloli at the beginning. The desserts were good, I had a nice lemon cake and my husband had the standard ice cream. The service was slow as they were very poor, only 2 men tried to do the whole restaurant, felt sorry for them as they did their best. While we were there, we noticed that many locals came to have drinks and tapas and they looked good. So next night we came earlier and had a pinch of beer and a big Tinto de Verano for only 4.70 and we had a selection of nice free tapas. We went here every night before dinner and tried all the different tapas. The lady behind the bar was super efficient and soon knew our order when we arrived. We had tried a night tapas in the old town; that was much better and cheaper. Always a good sign when you see the Spaniards eat there. The restaurant is right in front of the old town

There are several restaurants in the area and unfortunately we chose Monterrey, especially because one of our guests fanned Meatballs. We just ordered the meatballs and patatas band to say that neither were available. We should have left right away, but not. We ordered... other things that were okay, but not great. The bill came to €58.55, so we told the waiter to charge €60 on the card, and we left some small change to the tip above. When I came to my PIN, I saw that the waiter had the charge €120!!!! I told him this was wrong and he just laughed hysterically. There was no excuse and he was laughing. I wonder how other customers he cheated on that day. Avoid like the plague.

Excelente trato...cerveza y tapa...aunque comi gazpacho y solomillo...muy bien todo la verdad...variedad de productos...yo lo recomiendo...
