Recently I was in Bengaluru, India and happened to bump into the Anjappar Restaurant branch in Koramangala. The place is located on a very busy street(4th cross road) The restaurant was not crowded at the time visited. Located on the first floor of the building, the restaurant had full windows facing the street. I was seated on one of the tables near the window. The interior was a bit dark with dull upholstery. I ordered the Chettinadu chicken meals. The chettinadu chicken gravy was very tasty and delicious. The various thali meal items like rasam, sambhar, pakora, yoghurt, dessert( gulab jamun) were very tasty and yummy. I would say that the meal price a tad expensive for the variety provided. Charles, the restaurant manager was very amicable and made sure that all items ordered were served quickly. The washroom did not have paper towels to dry one’s hand after washing. While all waiting staff were nice and friendly, I would only wish that they wore a face mask at least while bringing the order and serving it. I would definitely visit this place again for the tasty meal they have to offer. I hope that they take care of the simple issues to get better review ratings.
A very good outlet of Anjappar. Usually it used to be jam packed before the pandemic but nowadays it is not so. Biryani with Zerra Samba rice is always much better than the other rice, so ask and order. Mutton Sukka Varuval is another nice authentic Chettinad dish which is prepared with boneless mutton. Chettinad dishes are slightly spicy so do watch out. Spice is from red Chilly and not green Chilly so manageable.
I had a very average experience at Anjappar.Had mutton biriyani which I felt was very average and flavour less. The hot and sour soup there was very good.Dragon chicken which I had as starters was just average.Would not recommend this place
Eating is very tasty. we ordered wiper tikka masala and butter naan. paneer was so mixed with masala and gave such a wonderful taste of the zunge. really was the naan so soft and slept in mouth. enjoyed eating a lot.
The best place for lunch. allbite remembers our local taste. for children who love briyani without too much spicy. no meal was also very good.
