New China Restaurant - Bendigo

The address for this left me a tad confused... it's on the corner of Forest Street and View Point. To access the Takeaway area, you need to access from Forest Street... and if you park in that street life will be a whole lot easier...for you as well. Like many Chinese Restaurants, it's a bit scruffy... but once you head into the dingy laneway that is their take away area... you will receive good service. There is also a really comprehensive menu. Value is quite good. And the food is really yummy. I had this for dinner for three nights. I do so love how takeaway leaves you with enough food for days. This is a really solid choice for good Chinese food in Bendigo. Anytime that I am not required to cook is a good thing.

Of us went on a Sunday night, quite a large space with long tables, a few were occupied. I imagine it would the place for large groups, I think there may even be some entertainment specific night. K and I had entree of wontons...and steamed dim sims, delicious. We then shared combination Chow Mien and steamed rice. Very yum, lovely generous presentation and the vegetables were crispy and the noodles had a nice crunch. Jasmine tea cleansed the palate and we were impressed.

The customer service at this restaurant was excellent. Despite being extremely busy when we visited, the staff were more than willing to fulfill any requests we had. The room had an odd smell, like it had been damp and the carpets needed cleaning. However, the food was delicious and very flavorful.

The most amazing Beef Satay ever! Just as a satay should taste. We look forward to ordering this amazing satay again in the near future!

I visited this restaurant on a Saturday night. The dining room was spacious, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The meals arrived promptly and were delicious. The food and service were excellent. I highly recommend this place for a quality Chinese meal.
