Belmont Hotel Bendigo

We felt at home at the Belmont with friendly and enthusiastic young staff - Sophie and Matt were particularly good - and delicious meals. My lamb cutlets were presented in a sophisticated way, the vegetables fresh and tasty (loved the sprouts and the creamy base sauce) and Dan enjoyed his chicken burger. We loved the light dumplings with sweet sauce and cream that we shared for dessert. Some brighter lights at table level could add to the atmosphere.

The Belmont needs to decide whether it's a pub or a restaurant. The food is really really good (chicken schnitzel) and big portions however the prices are expensive for a pub and for the venue as it currently sits. Sitting on the bar side, we could smell the mens toilets (wee). guys who seems to be management/owners came in discussing where to put a dart board, having a conversation over the top of us.bit unprofessional. Sorry guys but if you are going to have most of your meals priced $30+++ you need to create the venue to match. The staff behind the bar were very friendly and helpful. Probably would not go back but 4 star review based on the tasty food.

Went to the Belmont on a cold wintry Saturday night with a group and everyone quite enjoyed what they had ordered. The selection was quite good and the wine list was also good with maybe the wine by the glass choices somewhat limited. Now for the "but" in my review title.What really disappointed was that the hot food was served on very cold plates. Wouldn't you think on a very cold night that the plates would have been pre warmed before the hot food was added?Overall a nice place to go to but small things seem to let The Belmont down.

I have one word for this place and that is AMAZING. The food was delicious and my entire family loved it as well. Great service too. James and all his staff were very polite and welcoming. I will be recommending this pub to all my friends. 5/5 Belmont!!

I visited with my wife and 6 year old. We had a fantastic meal and will definitely being going back again soon. I wouldn't hesitate taking my family there when they visit from interstate next. All three meals were scrumptious. Well done to James and his staff and we will be back soon.
