Rico's Acai - Belmont

Rico's Acai in Belmont has quickly become one of my favorite dining spots. Each bowl starts with a base of Acai berries topped with a mix of granola, followed by sliced bananas and an extra sprinkle of granola. The Brazil Bowl features just these ingredients, but the real delight is in the Rainbow Bowl, which boasts a vibrant combination of strawberries, raspberries, seasonal mango, pineapple, kiwi, blueberries, and blackberries. They also offer a variety of optional toppings, including Nutella and peanut butter. I’m especially excited to try the new Apple Bowl (shown with Nutella). Both of the bowls in the pictures are mini-sized. A helpful tip: the fruit is always fresh and well-washed, so you can refrigerate the bowls and enjoy them for breakfast the next day!

The fresh fruit was excellent! However, the only downside was the very small amount of granola—less than a tablespoon. I assume they might have been running low on granola due to the busy day, but they should have communicated that and made an adjustment. As you can see in the photo, the granola is at the bottom.

Oh my goodness! Kendall and Gus treated me to the freshest, most inventive, and delicious bowl of citrus fruit I've ever tasted. It wasn't just a delightful snack; it was incredibly refreshing too! From now on, be sure to ask for your bowls to be prepared by these two fantastic staff members!

I absolutely love this place! They serve nothing but fresh fruit, and it's incredibly delicious. If you haven't tried it yet, you're really missing out!

I have to start by saying that I’m a tough person to impress! I enjoy a wide range of foods, but my dad is a high-end chef, and my husband trained under him. During a visit to my parents, I discovered this place that’s 35 minutes from my home, and I definitely make the trip just for their bowls! The fruit is chopped into small pieces, is exceptionally fresh, and the combinations of toppings are endless! I love desserts and pride myself on making them well, but I would choose these bowls over my sweets any day because they don’t lack in flavor! I wish he would park the food truck in my backyard! It’s truly heaven in a bowl!!! I’ll be back for sure! We tried the Butter Bro and Rainbow bowls!
