Bluebird Kitchen - Bellmore

Everything I have eaten here is amazing! The pumpkin risotto came in a small baked pumpkin with a combination of cranberries and goat cheese. Amazing! ! All of their dishes are well thought out and executed. Totally different than the norm. Must try!

Everything was tasty but I ordered the Takeout Housemade Lemonade and paid $5 for a child sized drink. The lemonade was great but not $5 for a tiny drink good. They could've made the size clear

Glad I tired it but doubt I'll be back. This place is bright and pretty but that is the only great thing I can say about it. Granted, it was a Sunday evening but there did not seem to be a bartender. After waiting 10 minutes for a drink, I was able to flag down the manager, and he passed my order to someone who was also a server. When she placed my drink down, i I said thank you and she just turned away. When it came time for a second drink, the manager served us. The drinks were good but pricy for the size. Once seated, our server was lovely but wasn't around much and it wasn't that busy. I ordered the shrimp and grits and a side of brussel sprouts. Everything had too much honey flavor and there were no grits in my main course (shame on me for ordering a southern dish up north). My cousin enjoyed her fish though, although she agreed there are better options out there.

I am particular about my eggs benedict and wanted to find a spot with the perfect benny on a biscuit and not a dry English muffin. After visiting a couple of places on the Island, I learned about Bluebird. I was there a couple of weeks ago and had a salmon benny with a wonderful lemon herb butter on the side to put on my biscuit, and a Johnny Castle mocktail (passionfruit and ginger). I don't even like passion fruit but wanted to try the drink because I was intrigued by the ginger. Fantastic! Bluebird is my new spot now.

The appetizers were good and drinks as well. But the entire was pretty salty. Gor the steak and doesn’t taste like dry age as advertised and the potatoes and eggs were salty. Not just my plate but other as well.
