Cantaritos Mexican - Bellingham

We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The food, drinks, and service were all excellent. We were a large group of 20, and typically, restaurants might struggle to accommodate such a big party, but not this place. Everything came out hot, fresh, and promptly! The prices were also very reasonable. For just under $50, we ordered four drinks, dinner for two, nachos, and two appetizers. Highly recommended!

I had the crushed meat bark chimichanga, and my dining companion ordered after me. Both meals were fantastic. However, I did have a couple of concerns. The bathroom was a complete mess, which was quite off-putting. Additionally, the service was lacking. Perhaps it was due to the time of day, but we waited a long time before we even saw our server after receiving our food. There were no refills on water, and no one checked if we wanted more drinks. I'm not sure what happened there. Despite these issues, we love dining out and will definitely give it another try.

While many traditional meat-based Mexican dishes can be adapted to be vegetarian, I really appreciate that this restaurant offers a dedicated vegetarian section on the menu. It gives customers peace of mind knowing that their selections will be meat-free. We ordered the potato burrito and the enchiladas, which came with black beans and rice. The portion sizes were generous, and my partner enjoyed his potato burrito. However, I found my enchiladas to be somewhat bland and lacking any sauce. On a positive note, the staff were friendly, and my To-Go order was ready ahead of schedule.

I had an incredible experience and a terrible one. a few months ago we got takeout and it was amazing. the maul was a complex, smokey taste and the chile verde burrito was knock-your-socks-off delicious. but we got a few days ago (same thing,) and it tasted as if the black had been left in the refrigerator for days and was simply covered in any sauce as to be cooked in the opposite. it was tasteful, but dry and hard; I couldn't eat it. the maul was completely different as it came from a package. the black enchiladas were not as described on the menu as the ones used which had them, instead of making what they should have. the oil used in the frit was old/rancid. we think it's because it was just after a long break and it wasn't very busy, so maybe they did a bad job when hotter stuff, but we were so disappointed. we cost most of the meal. not sure if I'll eat here again. Of course it won't be soon.

My girl and I both ordered some takeout food from here. Her's was some sort of chicken and onions and it was delicious, but I ordered a shredded beef chimichanga and it tasted like play-doh and peanut butter, somehow.
