Tuck Shop - Bellingen

I would rate this restaurant 3.5 stars, just falling short of 4. Located in a hidden spot away from the main street in Bellingen, this place is a hidden gem.

Forget about greasy take away fish and chips, The Tuckshop only has the freshest of fish available, cooked to perfection! We were pleasantly surprised when we received our daily special of grilled tuna with an Asian salad, it was so delicious, fresh and satisfying! No greasy hands or that heavy feeling you can get in your stomach from traditional fish n chips. The staff were very friendly and recommended a Tuna alternative for my wife, she went with the Mahi Mahi with Asian salad and it was perfection.It's so nice to see a fish and chip shop with Such fresh ingredients! We stopped by this restaurant for a quick meal after a long day of driving. The service and food quality were exceptional. The owner and waitress were very attentive and went above and beyond for us. My wife and granddaughter thoroughly enjoyed our seafood meal. We sat outside on the sidewalk in comfortable seating. Overall, it was an outstanding meal for the price. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area and looking for a well-prepared meal at a fair price. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I have eaten some fantastic meals at this cafe. It was truly blessed with an amazing young chef. I am very saddened to hear that this wonderful cook will no longer be working at the tuckshop.

Tuck shop was clean, friendly & inviting. The coffee & fresh oat muffins were delicious. The service was efficient & pleasant. Didn't try anything else on the menu, however, the fresh salads presented in the refrigerated cabinet looked delightful. I hope we have an opportunity to return!
